¿Es bueno el cargador y energizador de cercas eléctricas Gallagher S17 SOLAR? En primer lugar, tienes una unidad de cercado realmente sólida en el Gallagher S17, hay un montón de ellos en el mercado que dan descargas eléctricas a las cercas. Parece que tienes todo conectado y en forma correcta, lo único que me pregunto es qué estás usando para probar la cerca eléctrica o el cercador por sí solo. Yo usaría un comprobador de cercas eléctricas digital como un comprobador Gallagher DVM3.
Si solo lo estás probando tocando el alambre de la cerca, es posible que no sientas una descarga fuerte al hacerlo, dependiendo de lo que estés usando como zapatos. Si tienes una suela gruesa de goma o cuero en tus zapatos/botas, entonces no estarás muy bien conectado a tierra. Un animal está descalzo, por eso recibe una buena descarga de esto. Si eres fuerte y estás dispuesto a intentarlo, simplemente prepárate en caso de que todo esté funcionando. Ve hacia la cerca, agáchate sobre una rodilla y pon el dorso de tu mano sobre el alambre de la cerca. Si todo está funcionando y sientes una descarga bastante fuerte, entonces todo está funcionando y solo fueron tus zapatos/botas. No te preocupes demasiado por la descarga de un Gallagher S17, no es un esgrimista que golpee muy fuerte, pero definitivamente lo sentirás.
Pruebe esto primero y avíseme si tiene más preguntas. No me gusta recibir descargas eléctricas por nada grande o pequeño, por eso me gustaría comprar el comprobador de cercas digital Gallagher DVM3.
El S17 tiene una pequeña luz roja que parpadea cada uno o dos segundos, cuando está aplicando la descarga. Debería emitir un leve sonido de tictac/clic cuando la luz roja parpadea. Por la noche, la unidad parpadeará un poco más lento, alrededor de 3 a 5 segundos. Es la función de ahorro nocturno incorporada en el S17 para ahorrar batería. Funciona con el panel solar durante el día si la batería está completamente cargada y activa la batería por la noche o en un día bastante nublado. La función de ahorro nocturno se puede desactivar, pero tendría que enviárnosla aquí porque tendría que modificar un poco la placa ($12). Permitiría que el S17 parpadeara cada uno o dos segundos por la noche, tal como lo hace durante el día.

This spring the s20 and 2 s17 would only put out 1 -2 kw when the sun was out after sitting in the sun for 3 days. I ordered new batterys for them and still have low output. Our S20 unit which is only around two and a bit years old is no longer putting out a very strong pulse. Certainly not enough to worry the calves which is the whole point of having the unit. Any suggestions, change battery Etc?

But…my remote tester and toggle hand tool (Remote v2) now only works to indicate the charge and grounding directions, it will no longer remotely turn off (or on) the main charger back at the barn.
